DJ Karolina Tkaczuk
Karolina fell in love first with tango as a dance, and shortly after that her curiosity and passion for the music surfaced.
Her initial explorations led her to a fascination with traditional music, especially from the 30s and 40s. First and foremost, she believes that the task of a DJ is to create a unique mood and comfort for the dancers over and over again with each tanda throughout the night. She believes each dance should be a new journey for the dancers, “el viaje que dura sólo tres minutos” (a trip that lasts only three minutes). Before she plays a tanda she always asks herself, “Would I really want to dance it now, myself?”
The biggest reward for her as a DJ is to see happy, passionately immersed faces of the dancers she plays for.
Karolina currently lives in Poland and DJs mostly at European and Asian festivals and marathons.

DJ Davor Perhaj
Davor has been cultivating his interest in music and DJ’ing long before he discovered tango. One he started DJ’ing at local milongas, he was sucked into the world of drama, rhythm and romance of the great orchestras of the Golden Age.
His philosophy is simple: every tanda should be a good tanda. For him, the most important thing is the feel of the tanda — keeping it consistent. That, along with variety and different dynamics during the milonga, creates a safe space for people to feel free when choosing their partners and removes strategic planning like: what to do "when the good tanda comes?”
He says: “DJ’ing is a constant challenge, it requires presence and is often humbling. I aim for the ‘next day curse.' When it's really late, people are exhausted but they can't get off the floor anyway. And they curse me the next day. The experience of co-creating that story is the reward that keeps me coming back.”
